Mike Simonetti edit 12"s available for order

hello we managed to grab a few copies of Mike's new edit 12"
entitled "I Love It When A Plan Comes Together: AKA Mike 001".
It was released by a mysterious stranger overseas who offered
to release a few of Mike's edits. He agreed, as long as he could
make it A-Team themed, of course! Only 300 were pressed and
it sold out in a day. So yea dont sleep! Mike 002 is coming soon!
We are not putting it up in the store because we dont have that
many. they cost $11 ppd in the USA , $15 Canada/Mexico and
$20 everywhere else.

We also have a tiny amount of the newest Pilooski edit 12" on
RVNG. This is all sold out from the source as well. These are $14
USA, $17 Canada and $22 world.

we are excited to announce that glass candy just finished
the 12" version of "FEELING WITHOUT TOUCHING".
we are releasing it as a 12" maxi single.
our first record of 2010.
it's being mastered right now! we should have the vinyl in about
a month and a half vinyl features full color two sided insert and
lyric sheet. glass candy's first official video is finished too.
directed by travis peterson in l.a. (he also shot amazing videos
for nite jewel, geneva jacuzzi & areil pink) shot the night before
they slaughtered coachella last year. we'll post it as soon as it gets
out of production. here's the track list for the 12" (26 minutes of

rumor has it that they are throwing a bonus mystery track on the
b side... also... the new farah "GAY BOY" 12" is done.
recorded in november of 2008, and mixed last week in montreal.
probably the strangest record we have ever heard. we've been
scratching our heads for over a year trying to figure out what to
do with this one. a cult classic for sure. imagine ll cool j's "i need
love" & the shangri las "leader of the pack" through the eyes of a
valley girl on lithium. an out take from the new farah lp "INTO
ETERNITY" suite 304 studio sessions. her debut full length lp on
the way this spring. desire just added another installment to their
ongoing tour photo blog.

in other news...the two year chromatics hiatus is over.
rumors of break-ups etc...are all false.
johnny, ruth, adam, and natty have been back in the studio
working on a new 2 x lp. keep your fingers crossed...it
might be out in time for autumn! their darkest work yet.
maybe we can talk them into touring again.
according to mr. jewel, it covers 13 years of music written
between 1996 & 2009. touching on everything from the velvet
underground to kristopher komeda to gate. and for everyone
wanting "NIGHT DRIVE" on vinyl... good news... we should finally
have it this summer. the album as we know it was originally a
tour demo. we never expected it to blow up so fast, and they
never got the chance to properly mix or master it. the new vinyl
version is going to be a double lp with four unreleased bonus tracks!!!
we are pleaed to announce that the new italians do it better label
sampler is almost done. "INTO THE BLACK" (aka after dark pt. 2)
features new & exclusive tracks from desire, glass candy, chromatics,
mirage, farah, bottin, twisted wires, appaloosa... three years in the
making. it's going to be epic!!!

Happy New Year. Sorry we've been out of touch.
We were busy gearing up for 2010, working,

playing with our kids, etc. 2010 is going to be
insane for Italians. expect tons of surprises on

now but it will all fall into place soon enough.

Steele is one of the best djs in Australia possibly. We share
a lot of the same theories on music and djs and all that stuff.
Plus he clued me in on some tracks i never heard of, AND we
hung out at this record store with a wannabe comedian record
clerk... Pretty insane stuff. Anyway, we played together last
year on my first trip out there (or at least thats what they tell me).
Last time i was out there we hung out which was excellent. If
it wasnt for him i would have been stranded in Sydney for like
6 days all alone. so big props to Steele for real. This mix is
great- one of my favorites of this year methinks. Its all over

Endless Music in Prestwich. The owners were
really nice as well, which is rare... most record
store guys are surly and unhappy with themselves.
But this place yeilded many many returns in the
form of super rare records. i mean SUPER rare,
and very cheap! Ive been record shopping many
times in my life but this was one of the best
trips i've had in a while.. as a matter of fact,
the next day i went shopping and got even
more killer stuff in Manchester. So yea,
Manchester is great for record shopping...
ANYWAY, I told Simon he should do a mix for
the IDIB blog with all the records he got in

Hold You Tonight" 12". You may recognize the song from the
Desire cd, but the song was re-done and extended to
almost 9 minutes. Also included is a more stripped down
version, acapella version and the original demo version
from the cd. The new version is deeper, heavier, and
crisper- perfect for the dancefloor or your headphones.
This is our last release of the year, and quite possibly
the best, so go out with a bang!

Also we are running very low on some old back catalog

hello. in an effort to keep content on this blog
i am posting that i will be djig on Beats In Space
tomorrow. i hear its a pretty cool radio show.
you should check it out. I'll be playing mostly
weird left-field dance music tomorrow revolving
around post punk/synth and artsy fartsy dance
music.

the reason we have been so slow to update is
due to constant traveling/touring. Look out

OUT NOW ::: NITE JEWEL new 12" / GLASS CANDY shirts & totes

Hello from windy Melbourne. As promised we have
available a brand new NITE JEWEL 12" (with a beautiful
full color cover) and some more Glass Candy tour leftovers.
These are from earlier in the year, specifically the Euro
tour they embarked upon. When i saw these designs i
knew they would be a hit. They went over so well we
made a few extras for the people who couldnt make it
to the gigs. Check the store for these awesome titles.

As usual we have a very small number of these shirts
and totes! In other news, the GETO BOYS t-shirts are
almost all gone. When last checked we were down to
4 of each size. As far as shirts are concerned, the "12"
shirts are some of my favorites.

A few have asked about the measurements of the size
YOUTH LARGE (aka: X SMALL) shirts. The youth large
shirts arent super small. American Apparel shirts run
a little big and many traditional SMALLS like the size
youth large for a better fit. We are sold out of most of our
shirts but we have some youth large left in a few designs.
That is the only way you will be able to get these shirts,
as we will not be making more of them. We also lowered
the price on the youth large shirts!

FInally, all orders received after August 18th will ship
on or about September 1st. The Italians interns are all
starting school then, and i'm in Australia, and Ian is on tour
with his band, and Andrew is listening to the new M.O.P.
(which apparently isnt too good according to him)- so
please be patient! Thanks, as always!

hello. here is a mix i did for Australian radio Triple J.
It aired a few weeks ago and i am curious how it went
over since it is not your typical techno/electro fare.
Plus it was done in one take due to time constraints...
This mix was made entirely of Disconet 12"s. Every
track was either an exclusive Disconet edit or previously
unreleased track altogether. there are a few tracks
that were only released as a Disconet 12". Most
of these are of the Italo/boogie variety since I didnt
do an Italo mix in a while and you know- boogie
is very cool at the moment. There is a totally awesome

hello. i'll being heading back to Australia next week. I'm
very excited to be going back, since the last time was so
good. I have a few dates off in SYD so hit me up if you
want to go hit some record stores in the outskirts of SYD
on one of my days off.

also a few programming notes: during this time the IDIB
mailorder will be a little slower than normal. We will try
to get the interns in to send out some packages but this
is also when college starts so it may be tough. But keep

Glass Candy "Geto Boys" 12" OUT NOW

After months of mastering issues (the bass was so heavy
it was making the needle jump), legal issues, and remixing
issues. We are excited to say that the Glass Candy "Geto Boys"
12" is finally in stock. And even better...it's a double A side.
They've Been destroying this song on tour all year. Samples
the hip hop classic "Mind Playing Tricks On Me" from Houston
legends, GETO BOYS (who sampled Isaac Hayes). The flip side
of the record features the Deep Gems burner "Animal
Imagination". If that wasn't enough, the record contains 12"
instrumental versions and vocal edits of both songs. 3 tracks
per side. This is an extremely limited one time vinyl pressing
that you will never see on itunes. Packaging includes full color
jacket, insert, and lyric sheet. "For a good time...call Glass
Candy"...

also, we made a t-shirt with the Geto Boys cover specifically for
sale with this 12". We only made 60 shirts, so hurry up! Its
our tribute to the 12"! The shirts are on black American Apparel
shirts, and the price is nice!

OH YEAH, if you already ordered the Geto Boys 12" before we
put the shirt up- it is not too late to get a shirt. email us your
paypal receipt or transaction # along with $13 (the balance for
the shirt plus some shipping) and we will send you a shirt.
