here are some flyers i found laying around from back
when i used to work at Mars in NYC. most of these date from
1987-1990 when i was working there (even though i was
grossly under age!)

I'm back on Beats In Space

Hello. Next Tuesday, i believe Feb 12 maybe- I'll
be back to do the guest dj thing Beats In Space for what
i believe is my fifth time... It must be some sort of
world record. I think Tim mentioned there will be
an awards ceremony involving a trophy and oversized
check.

This appearance is special because Tim asked me to
do an all-Krautrock special perhaps to celebrate the imminent
release of the Invisible Conga People 12"? Maybe because
disco is over and emo is back? We will never know now
will we???

Mike djing in BERLIN / FRANKFURT

HI. I will be traveling to Germany to play records
and give out t-shirts to the German contingent. When
I get back we will have the Italians t-shirts available
for sale. Sorry for the delay! If you are in Germany
please come out and while you're there, bring me some
La Dusseldorf records please?? ACTUALLY , speaking of
Germany, I will be making a return appearance to my
man Tim's BEATS IN SPACE radio program on Feb 12th as
part of his Krautrock special. I think its my 5th time
on his show? 4th maybe? Either way, it will be all
Krautrock- i'm literally psyched about this!

Italians t-shirts getting reprinted

hi. due to demand we will be making a small reprint
of Italians shirts. These will be the same block letter
design, except it will be black ink on black shirts.
They look excellent! We should have them in a week or so.

Happy New Year from the Italians crew. all reports from
San Francisco were that the Glass Candy New Years Eve
blowout was indeed a blowout and it was full of New
Years madness. Wish i was there.

But I had my thing at Rubulad and it was pretty crazy.
Also apologies for those of you who came out late to see me
and left when the cops came. After they left we started up and
went well into the late morning. Next time I play Rubulad I'll

Italians on both coasts this New Years Eve

Our very good friend Lovefingers is providing the musical
enjoyment. Look out for an Italians collabo with our
man Lovefingers in the future.


Mike is returning to Rubulad on New Years Eve. The
Scandanavian dates are pushed to March due to
scheduling conflicts. For info on the party
shoot me an email thru the blog. Its a secret party and
we dont want to get shut down... You know the deal. I
believe I play from 3am onwards. Last NYE was a blur
but I remember at 11 am someone brought me a bagel as
I was djing..

This will be our last dispatch of 2007.We have tons of
stuff happening on 2008, so check back here often! A
warm thanks to all of you who have supported our new
venture that is IDIB. We would be nothing without you!
But seriously, we really appreciate it! Look out for

hi. our distributor found some older out of print Glass
Candy records in their warehouse and we got them back
to sell in our store. we only have about 15 of each,
so jump on them fast if you want them. the records are:

Glass Candy 'I Always Say Yes' 12" - this is officially
out of print. We only pressed 1000 of these. Italians
may be repressing this in the future but it will have
different art and maybe even some different tunes.
so if you need this bad boy- grab it!!! This is the

I ALWAYS SAY YES 12"Glass Candy 'Excitebike' 7"- an older Glass Candy 7" from the
period right before they went 100% electronic. These songs are
amazing though. they were doing balaeric disco punk years
before anyone else was. I remember people complaining
these songs were "too slow"! Boy how times have changed.
This is one of my favorite GC 7"s personally. The art is

it was recorded a day after being sent home from
the hospital after having a near death asthma attack.
so apologies if the mix seems a little wonky at times. i was
tripping pretty hard on steroids and xanax! killer times.


PS: yes i know you can hear me cueing sometimes. yes i was
high, what do you expect? i dont even remember making
this mix. i was literally tripping.

RUBULAD this weekend

hi. im djing Rubulad on Friday November 16. Rubulad
is located in Brooklyn at a semi-secret location
because we are trying to avoid the pigs. If you
want info email me and ill hook you up with the
info. Im djing with my man Chris (of Aerosol Burns
partner fame) and we are playing from 2am on.
Last time we played we got raided by the cops , which
was unfortunate. But the last few parties went off
without a hitch, so... Get there around 5am, thats
